Jay-Z’s coded references meet double-entendres in a gray area such that they vacillate in qualifying as such. Yet he talks a length with MTV: Nov 27 2007 3:14 PM EST in an article by Jayson Rodriguez and titled: Jay-Z, Behind The Rhymes: Hidden Britney Spears Reference Is Just One Trick Of Hov's Trade - in part two of our four-part series, Jay talks about his love for lyrics that reveal their meaning over time, 'like an Easter egg hunt' in the aforementioned regard. He ends his interview as follows:

"My voice, is less than 10. Let's just say that. I never thought I had a great pitch. ... What I do is overcompensate with words and flow."
