Superman | Diamond D + “No Drama Obama”

Diamond D: Superman (prod. DJ Scratch) (128kbps)
Single (?, 2010)

I am a '72 baby. I am fastidious and nonconforming.

I do not listen to the radio for music instead, only, for news (preferably NPR). The "radio ready" - "lollipop" machinations misnomered "music" are cause for antacid.

Diamond D's "Superman", by contrast, is refreshing - mellifluous and euphonically resplendent
; further, the lyrical rhythmic exactitude is "right-on".

Good music is nourishing

Yet, as Superma[e]n go Barack Obama is premier - Times Online rhetorically ask, Did “No Drama Obama” cool served him poorly as the Deepwater Horizon oil rig problem worsened? Most poignantly TO provides:

Suddenly Americans did not want an icy-cool leader, but a superman. A nation whose distrust of central government has reached a post-Civil War high wanted a huge and powerful government to jump in. Perhaps no one summed up that desire more succinctly than Mr Obama’s own daughter Malia, below, who peeked her head around the bathroom door last week to ask: “Did you plug the hole yet, Daddy?”

Rolling Stone [Indonesia] | Jimi's [Hendrix] Last Ride

I concluded reading RS1101, print version, which includes 'Jimi's Last Ride'. Wanting to share (during my read of the article I tweeted some of Jimi's intriguing comments) and apropos to my Kronos post I looked for the article online and was only able to find a partial article in Indonesian.

Fulsome presents: RS's 'Jimi's Last Ride' translated by Google. Enjoy...

Kronos Quartet | Foxey/Foxy Lady

Akin to a "beneficial mutation" this flourish of "Foxy Lady" is a piece of bizarre natural history. Contrastingly, unlike a mutation the predetermined changes, heard, in this rendition of "Foxy Lady" evokes the "wow!" factor; hence, "...when we see [hear] something spectacular or exquisite, we are typically looking at [hearing] an adaptation. And what underpins adaptation is the appearance [euphony] and spread of beneficial mutations: the process is not possible without them."

++Per SF | In the booklet for the Experience Hendrix CD, Jimi Hendrix is quoted as saying Foxy Lady was the only happy song he had ever written. He said that he usually just doesn't feel happy when writing songs.
The song title has two alternate spellings: "Foxey Lady" (for release in the US) and "Foxy Lady" (for release in the UK).
Hendrix recorded this on December 13, 1966. That same day, he made his first TV appearance on the British show Ready Steady Go. His group The Jimi Hendrix Experience had been together only 2 months at that point, but things moved very quickly - three days later, their first single, "Hey Joe" was released.

Dilla rant this is not. The music speaks for itself.

The distinction and calibre of the few musicians selected to reinterpret Dilla's music speaks to the reverence beheld for Dilla. The exactitude in the interpolations and their austerity present further dispositions of Dilla's innate genius.

Timeless and spoke for (through music), I present "Untitled/Fantastic" variegated.

Howlin' Wolf | How Many More Years

I've been a Howlin' Wolf (Chester Arthur Burnett | June 10, 1910 – Jan. 10, 1976) fan for years but it was only after watching 'The Howlin' Wolf Story' (2003) that I realized how nonplus I was - his life story, as told by the documentary, was completely unknown to me.

Listen to this "wolf" slickly maneuver through HMMY with a "howlin'" memorable cadence and digestible bluesy soul.

++Critic Cub Koda declared, "no one could match Howlin' Wolf for the singular ability to rock the house down to the foundation while simultaneously scaring its patrons out of its wits."
