...You know the sound pf Auto-Tune, at least pushed to its limits, when it produces the Vocoder-like Buy You a Drank and other summer ubiquities such as Rihanna's Umbrella or Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girls. All of them deploy the digital effect that comes when vocals are tuned too tight, a quavering disco-cyborg melisma that's become the keynote of so much of the Top Forty.
Auto-Tune is infamous for making possible careers that would never exist without it, allowing the turd polishing (as producers call it) that can turn well-packaged mediocre singers into stars. But used sparingly, it allows producers to seamlessly correct flat or sharp notes - literally to pull them in line with proper pith on a computer display - and it's likely that most of what you hear today is pitch corrected in one place or another. Not because vocalist can't sing - because they can't sing perfectly [I defer dramatically here as if your pitch vacillates and as a consequence you're pitch cacophonous - leave the singing to the Jill Scotts and Omars of said genre and/or sub-genre - you remaining oblique-pitchers face a corner as I instructed Swiss Beats months back]. "Auto-Tune is like the fake tits of the music industry," says one producer. That is, it both creates and fulfills inhuman standards of beauty.
Auto-Tune is nothing new, and neither is that disco-cyborg effect, which powered Cher's Believe nine years ago. There's no more sense in complaining that it's fake than there was in bitching about drum machines twenty years ago. But it dominates the current moment, for better or worse. It merges the singer and the track, reducing everything to technology, which is perfect for ringtones or music on YouTube. It has its uses. But it rarely sustains more than a song. Try listening to Rihanna's entire album (which has sold sluggishly, despite a massive hit single)and you'll soon know the truth of the philosophy limed by Justin Timberlake in the hook of 50 Cent's new single:"I'm tired of using technology/Why don't you sit down on top of me? "Sometimes, you want the human touch, even if it's a wobbly ... vocals no one was ever supposed to hear.

Alphabet Soup - Sunny Day In Harlem, not to be confused with Alphabet Soup - Layin' Low In The Cut a different rap group bearing resemblance only by name, was formerly known as the "Clan from the Planet of Egypt". The addition of Yasin (Brother Love) Gregg as a "Clan from the Planet of Egypt" group member encouraged the group name change to Alphabet Soup.

The group name Alphabet Soup is explained as follows:
The communicative rudiments of language starts with the alphabet. The alphabet is a set of letters and/or other characters written or otherwise (oral-tradition, etc.) arranged in a customary order to convey knowledge or inform. The "Soup" was our music. Together the compliment of both words (alphabet) and music rendered the EP: Sunny Day In Harlem.

Alphabet Soup name changed again, lastly, becoming "Head Rush" (spelled erroneously as Hed Rush on the Giant Step, Vol. 1 for song Testin' It Out.

Holden Caulfield is a fictional character created by J. D. Salinger. Holden is the teenage protagonist of Salinger's 1951 novel The Catcher in the Rye ; Holden also appears in some of Salinger's other literary works.

Physically, Holden is gangly and tall. He is also described as having several gray hairs on the right side of his head. These two qualities contribute to Caulfield's appearing to be older than his age, yet his mannerisms and behavior contradict that impression. One of Caulfield's most striking and quintessential qualities is his powerful revulsion for "phony" human qualities. Qualities such as narcissism, hypocrisy, and superficiality embody Holden's concept of phoniness; and, unfortunately, Holden is adept at realizing these qualities in other people. This serves to bolster Holden's cynicism and consequently contributes to his mistrust of other people. Interestingly, despite Holden's strong disdain for phony qualities, he exhibits some of the qualities that he abhors, thereby making him a somewhat tragic character.

Caulfield is the second of four children, with two brothers, D.B. and Allie, and one sister, Phoebe. (There is also a second sister, Viola, who is briefly mentioned in the short story "I'm Crazy," but is never referred to again.) Allie is deceased at the time of The Catcher in the Rye. Their parents are left unnamed in Salinger's works.

Born into a life of wealth and privilege, Caulfield looks down upon the elite world he occupies. He questions the values of his class and society and sometimes appears to oppose conventions merely for the sake of opposition. He is widely considered to be the template for the "angry young man" archetype.

Accordingly, my man "2-Liter" considers my acerbic critiques a "hate" of everything and my "can't fuck with me B!!!" dancing rants didn't/ don't exactly raise the bar thusly "2-Liter" has thereupon labeled me the consummate Holden Caulfield of the east-coast.
