It is interesting that the white anti-war movement does not see the war in their Amerikkkan backyard, at the end of the day white "left", "progressives" "antiwar" believe the America is redeemable but we as revolutionary folk of color know that you can never eat around a rotten apple and not get sick. I am looking for the white anti-imperialists, the David Gilberts and Laura Whitehorns of this generation. Holla, if you hear this. As Chuck D one said, "you may love hip hop, you may love black culture, but do you love black people? There's a difference". This is a rant, this is only a rant, build on it, critique it, hate or love, but if you read this do something for the Jena 6 and fight the war on youth of color.

...You know the sound pf Auto-Tune, at least pushed to its limits, when it produces the Vocoder-like Buy You a Drank and other summer ubiquities such as Rihanna's Umbrella or Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girls. All of them deploy the digital effect that comes when vocals are tuned too tight, a quavering disco-cyborg melisma that's become the keynote of so much of the Top Forty.
Auto-Tune is infamous for making possible careers that would never exist without it, allowing the turd polishing (as producers call it) that can turn well-packaged mediocre singers into stars. But used sparingly, it allows producers to seamlessly correct flat or sharp notes - literally to pull them in line with proper pith on a computer display - and it's likely that most of what you hear today is pitch corrected in one place or another. Not because vocalist can't sing - because they can't sing perfectly [I defer dramatically here as if your pitch vacillates and as a consequence you're pitch cacophonous - leave the singing to the Jill Scotts and Omars of said genre and/or sub-genre - you remaining oblique-pitchers face a corner as I instructed Swiss Beats months back]. "Auto-Tune is like the fake tits of the music industry," says one producer. That is, it both creates and fulfills inhuman standards of beauty.

Stones Throw is teaming up with video game trendsetters 2K Sports to present the soundtrack for the latest in 2K’s series, NBA 2K8. Stones Throw president Peanut Butter Wolf has compiled B-Ball Zombie War, a 20-song companion piece to the video game. The album and the game will be released October 2nd.
B-Ball Zombie War features new collaborations by Talib Kweli, Q-Tip and MF Doom over beats by J Dilla, as well as new tracks by Madlib, Guilty Simpson, Aloe Blacc, Koushik, and MED among others. New names are introduced, including Karriem Riggins and Madlib’s group Supreme Team.
This will be the first Stones Throw collaboration with another brand since last year’s Chrome Children compilation with Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Stones Throw is best known for its work with Madlib, J Dilla and MF Doom.
